Long Time

Well it sure has been a long time since I've posted. I don't even know very many who will read this. I am not good at keeping up with things like this for myself or looking at others blogs so I don't know if anyone really posts anymore. But I may try it again.

One of Mark's dear high school friends passed away a couple months ago from a brain tumor. He fought hard and lived longer than expected. We kept in touch but we also read his wife's blog for updates often. It is her writing that has inspired me to try again. Her writing was real, inspirational, and raw with emotions. It touched my very heart. I feel I lose steam in these things because I don't paint such a real life picture in my writing so it becomes more tedious for me than relieving. Perhaps I can change that.

We just got back from my Hinton extended reunion and it was our last one. The last night together my uncle Jim and aunt Leslie put together a program called reunion chronicles filled with stories and skits and videos from past reunions. It was positively delightful and as we closed with God be with you till we meet again I ached with so many emotions. I love my cousins, my family. It was the diligent record keeping of my uncle Jim that has likewise motivated me to jump back in the fray of blogging. We'll see what the future holds...
