Summer Fun

Our family had a great week!

It started with a visit from my sister Rachelle and her family. Mark was able to come home from work for a bit and hang with the party. I really enjoy the joke exchange that happens between Drew and Mark when they're together.

Addy and Emily are best buds. My favorite thing they did was when they went outside to collect ants as their pets. They were discovering what food they like and how to collect them.

Weston kept my other three entertained! He really loved our ninja turtle costume and accessories and our Minnie mouse Halloween book and copying Carlie while they ate a snack together. :)

This week we were learning about police and scheduled a tour of the Orem police department. Officer Holdaway showed us dispatch, his police car, the police motorcycles, jail cells and detective offices. Even Mark and I enjoyed the tour!

About the middle of the tour, Carlie looked up at the officer and said, "you look awesome!" Devin got to turn on the lights and siren on the police car. Man, it was loud! Since then Devin has been making siren noises at home. Lol!

Friday we went camping at Payson lakes. It definitely was and wasn't long enough.

Was long enough because Joseph doesn't sleep well away from his bed. So the mama was tired. I also can't imagine having to pack more food because our car was packed to the brim. :)

Wasn't long enough because we didn't get to spend much time at the lake. The time we did spend was wonderful but we got there late on Friday and had to leave early Saturday to make it in time for Devin's last t ball game.

Every moment was magical. Carlie was beaming with excitement at everything we did or ate!  The sunset was gorgeous and the trail from our campsite to the lake was beautiful.

If we stayed longer, I would have walked the paved trail around the whole lake and played more in the water. I think we will be camping there again!
